Guide: How to take care of your football shirt so it lasts longer

Do you want your football shirt to look new for a long time? Follow these tips:

Prepare for washing: Turn the shirt inside out. This will protect the print (name, number, logos) from being damaged, faded or peeled off.

Choose the right wash: Wash in cold water, preferably max 30 degrees, to preserve the fabric's functional properties and colors. Use a gentle washing program in the machine or hand wash to reduce wear.

Use the right detergent: Choose a mild, color-safe detergent and use it sparingly. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets, as they can damage the fabric and clog the pores in the material.

Avoid heat: Do not wring out the sweater and definitely do not use the dryer. The high heat of the dryer can damage the material, reduce its function and shrink the sweater.

Dry properly: Hang the sweater on a clothesline or lay it flat to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade the colors.

Dealing with stains: Pretreat stains, such as grass stains, with white vinegar before washing to help break down the enzymes. For clay stains, let the clay dry completely before brushing it off.
